Mini John Cooper Works
When the driving feeling is most important, it is John Cooper Works that applies.
It's no news that Mini builds fun little cars that hug the curves better than competitors in the same class. The story of John Cooper began back in 1961 when he demonstrated the potential of the classic Mini model with a successful racing career. Since then, a lot of water has flown under the bridges and after BMW took over the helm of the British company, the model range has been greatly expanded. There are currently six models with, among other things, five-door versions, cabriolets and Countryman, which can be compared to a small SUV. What is common to all of them is the driving feeling and joy behind the wheel that has never been compromised.
To get the most out of this item, the John Cooper Works model is available for all Mini models. With up to 231 horses from the two-liter four built by BMW, these are real little rockets. Something that even the car itself seems to believe, because when you put it in sport mode, an illustration appears in the screen in the center console where the car has a thought bubble with a rocket in it.
But despite the rocket-like performance, they have succeeded very well in bringing down the consumption figures, which on the John Cooper Works models are around 0.73 liters per mile. What has changed a lot in the years since the new launch is how much smarter and user-friendly the Mini has become as a car. A number of practical solutions simply make life easier in a Mini these days.
The test car, which is a 3-door John Cooper Works, is equipped with almost all the original additional accessories that can be obtained. We find, among other things, extra lights at the front, black strips around the lights, lacquered rear spoiler and diffuser, bright entry strips and JWC Pro floor mats to name a few.
Bavaria in Solna has sold Minis since 2002 and in 2006 the specially equipped car hall was built according to Mini's special requirements. A pop environment that puts anyone in a good mood.
"Many people who think of MINI think of the original, i.e. the 3-door model, but today we have a Clubman that is the same size as the Audi A3, Mercedes A-class, Golf. We have a new Countryman with a premiere in March -17 for those who want to sit higher and like the slightly rougher shape that a Crossover gives. MINI 5-door for those who want the maximum go-cart feeling but still want 5 doors and a little more practicality, MINI Cabrio which is the ultimate small cab where you can ride 4 people but still have a fun little cabriolet and then of course The original MINI (3-door) which today has the latest technology from the BMW Group but has retained the beloved and celebrated design from the "doghouse."
