Ford F150 Raptor
No, you can't accuse it of being PK, but if you want to be heard and attract attention, the Ford F-150 Raptor Shelby Baja Edition is the car for you!
One of the world's best-selling cars is called the Ford F-150 and is a pickup truck. Americans love this type of car, so-called "full-size pickup trucks". The undersigned actually also drives a Mercedes-brand pickup truck. The reason for my choice and that of the Americans is a little different, however, as mine has to do with tax reasons and that the car is considered a work vehicle and therefore easier to handle in terms of accounting because I use it exclusively for my work. In the US, where the pickups are larger in size than in Europe, people love them because you can get everything on the flatbed, whether it's stuff or animals. The F-150 model has been around for a long time, the first generation was introduced in 1948. Now the F-150 is in its thirteenth generation, and with the twelfth generation, the much-anticipated Raptor version also came in 2010. The Raptor distinguished itself by being bigger, and meaner in every way. When you met it on the road, it was easy to distinguish it from a regular F-150 thanks to three orange diodes in the upper part of the grill. When the new version of the Raptor came based on the thirteenth generation F-150, it was not with a thirsty V8 but a V6 Turbo. A step in reducing consumption, a little surprising as there has always been a chubby V8 as the heart of these American servants of the throne.
Everyone probably agrees that the F-150 Raptor is not a discreet car, but if you feel that it still doesn't stand out enough, there is now an even worse version with the addition of the Shelby Baja Edition. The car that is a tribute to the legend Carroll Shelby and on this version they have really gone "all in". The name Baja is also a tribute to a legendary competition that was run in the Mexican state of Baja California. The name was Baja 1000 and it ran between Ensenada and La Paz, a distance of 1000 miles or 1600 km. They drove through desert tracts and the majority of participants had off-road dune buggies. But in 1969, Eric "På taket" Karlsson came third with a Saab V4. Two Swedish-Americans won, also in Saab.
Most of the Shelby Baja Edition has been changed and redone to really get the most out of this already brutal pickup. The engine is upgraded with the Shelby EcoBoost performance upgrade to 525 horses thanks to a new air intake and air filter as well as a new aluminum intercooler. All around are new adjustable dampers from FOX. The list could be made long with what was replaced on the Shelby Baja Edition. What also makes the car stand out or, perhaps more accurately, shines more than all the others is the amount of extra lights fitted to it. Only in the front is a 40-inch LED ramp. A cool feature of the LED ramp's flat arch from Go Rihno is that you can fold it down electronically. Practical because it makes the car lower. The consumption also decreases slightly when driving on the motorway as the air resistance decreases a little.
Driving around in an F-150 Raptor Shelby Baja Edition is like driving around in a large spaceship destined for the desert. Just driving around Stockholm's inner city with a car like this feels quite wasted and will certainly only stick in people's eyes. If, on the other hand, you live a little out of reach and both want to feel safe behind the wheel and at the same time have insane fun, then the F-150 Raptor Shelby Baja Edition is definitely the car for you!
