Those of you who have been following me for a while now and have read my articles here on carscollection.com, you could see the article about Range Rover P530. I published that article in November 2022 and as the first article after my motorbike accident I had in August 2022.

One of the things I suffered in the accident because of a brain haemorrhage I had, was that my memory was affected. For example, I have no memory at all since the day of the accident and a month and a half after the accident. However, I remember very well the day before the accident and that I drove up from Gothenburg in the Range Rover P530 I just mentioned. I really remember and can see the pictures in front of me if I close my eyes when I photographed the car up on Ramberget and down at America House with Ola Sernekes skyscraper Karlatornet which was not yet built in the background.

The day after that, which was the day of the accident, I have no memory of at all but I know what happened because I took pictures that day. For example I picked up the motorbike was a BMW M1000RR at BMW in Sollentuna. Then I went to Strandvägen in Stockholm city centre to my friend Tom Bertlings café KMK where I had an ice cream. Then I drove up to Gärdet where I took pictures of the motorbike in front of The cake tower. After that I drove out to Vaxholm and took the classic and challenging Bogesund road on the way there. Then I took the ferries over to Värmdö via Rindö. It was on road 222 towards Stockholm and on the way home, as I lived in Gustavsberg at the time, that the accident happened. But now this article is not about my motorbike accident but the very luxurious Range Rover SV!

My colleague Waldemar Hansson with whom I have shared a photo studio but also made two promotional films together. One with the Polestar 4 which you could read about here on carscollection.com. But also a film with it Volkswagen Tayron which you could also read about here on carscollection.com. We made the films for promotional purposes and to show what we can do and that we are available for advertising film assignments.

In order to produce the film with the Volkswagen Tayron, we needed a film car. The film was shot in Åre after the event I had attended with the Volkswagen Tayron for Swedish motor journalists. After that event, I got to take one of the Volkswagen Tayron cars that had been at the event and which was held in Östersund. Waldemar and his girlfriend Josefin needed to come up from Stockholm with all the equipment we needed to produce the film. So in order for them to be able to travel extra comfortably and, what I took for granted, fit the equipment we needed, I thought a Range Rover SV would be perfect. It also has extremely good air suspension, which is an advantage in many of the scenes where we mount a camera with suction cups on the outside of the car we are filming from.

But what I hadn't checked was that the Range Rover SV, which is a so-called press car and available for the media to borrow, had the Signature Suite add-on. This means that it is equipped with four non-folding seats and not a traditional rear seat. It has a host of other things I will write about later in this article. So it was relatively crowded for Waldemar and Josefin but of course a very comfortable journey up to Åre. Once in Åre, the Range Rover SV was an incredibly good car to use as a film car. The journey down to Stockholm I did in the Range Rover which was a delight. This is a car that gobbles up miles with greater appetite than a child eats sweets.

As I mentioned, this Range Rover SV was equipped with the Signature Suite add-on, for an extra £238,900. Not only are there only four seats and not a whole basket, but you have massage in all the seats so no one has to complain of back pain on arrival after a long journey. Plus, for those sitting in the back, there are screens on the back of the front seats. In addition, you have separate HDMI connectors so the people in the back can watch their own stuff on the screens. There are even headphones with SV logos on them for those in the back so no one is disturbed. But if everyone wants to enjoy the same music in the car, there's a great-sounding Meridian Signature sound system. In the Range Rover it can have up to 36 speakers.

In a Range Rover SV with the Signature Suite option, you should have a driver who can drive you, something I didn't have when I drove down from Åre. But if you do, you can enjoy an ice cream or a whole bottle of cold champagne in the back seat. Between the rear seats there is a fridge with two glasses with embossed SV logos. When I tried one of the incredible rear seats, I had to enjoy a cold Loka water because I was driving and working on taking the pictures. But if you sit in the back, which you want to do in a Range Rover SV Signature Suite, you ride like a king!

As well as having separate monitors for each seat in the back, you can fold the seats like in first class on an aeroplane. Not all the way round so it becomes a bed but so you can lie very relaxed and enjoy the journey wherever you go.

So in a Range Rover SV, you drive like a dream. But the journey is by no means boring behind the wheel. The test car is powered by a powerful 4.4-litre V8 with 615 horsepower. That's more than enough and the car is on its toes for you. There's also a version with a 350-horsepower diesel V6 engine. It certainly does the job and drinks less than the V8 but probably nothing an owner of a Range Rover SV with the Signature Suite add-on. A dream car in my eyes!
