<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThose of you who have been following me at Enliven may remember that we did a report on the unveiling of the T-Cross when we were on site in Amsterdam last year. Now the time has come to experience the finished product, which was done in Mallorca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investment in SUVs has completely exploded and Volkswagen is one of the brands that is leading the way with another model in its SUV portfolio. The T-Cross is the smallest of Volkswagen's SUV models and lands just below its sibling the T-Roc, which is 12 centimeters longer than the T-Cross. What differentiates the models more than their size is that the T-Cross can only be had with front-wheel drive. So a more city-adapted car than one that might be able to cope with slightly tougher terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Comparable to other Volkswagen models, it can be mentioned that the T-Cross is in the same size class as a Polo. Why SUV models have become so popular is, among other things, because of how you sit in them and have such a good view all around. On that point, the T-Cross is no exception and you have an excellent driving position and see what is important around the car. You sit very well in the T-Cross and longer distances feel more than welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We were there for the unveiling of the T-Cross last year. Now the time has come to experience the finished product<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n This type of car should appeal to younger buyers and this is often done through pop colors and color combinations. The car that was available for the test drive had a slick orange paint with rims painted in the same color that made it stand out from the crowd. A number of interior details were also painted in the same colour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When it comes to this type of car, a lot is about practicality. For example, you can slide the rear seat back and forth for increased luggage space. In the front position, however, virtually all legroom disappears in the back seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The level of technology you get in cars nowadays is truly overwhelming compared to cars not that long ago. Like, for example, that you can get fully digitized instrument panels in the T-Cross. Of course Apple CarPlay but also a sound system from Beats by Dre that guarantees good pressure in the speakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The T-Cross is also far ahead in terms of safety. To name a few safety systems, there is the Front Assist neighborhood monitoring with Pedestrian Monitoring (pedestrian monitoring) and City Emergency Brake (autobrake), the lane keeping assistant Lane Assist, Hill Start Assist for easier starting on hills, proactive passenger protection systems, fatigue warning and adaptive cruise control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/carscollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSC6608-1024x683.jpg\")
