Porsche GT2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It doesn't get any nastier Porsche than this right now, if you're going to buy a new one, that is. The Porsche GT2 is the worst of all the Porsche models and you can feel it immediately when you see it. Our test text is also black, the whole car radiates such incredible power!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Porsche GT2 is equipped with the classic boxer six of 3.6 liters. With twin turbos in the GT2 and with 530 horses and a twist of a whopping 680 newtons, this pushes the car to the 100 mark in just 3.6 seconds, 200 is already completed 7.6 seconds later. During the week I had GT2 at my disposal, I often amused myself to my friends' utter abject almost panicked laughter when pulling away from a standstill. I couldn't really understand what made people even in some cases ask me to slow down, editor Glaad for example. It was only when I rode with Jocke Qvarnstr\u00f6m that I myself had to figure out what was going on in the passenger seat... Jeez, I'm just saying, it's a real roller coaster you're sitting on, your stomach rolls and tingles and you frantically grope for something to hold get in, absolutely insane! That you don't feel this yourself as a driver is incredible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To stop this insane power, Porsche has fitted ceramic brakes as standard with their characteristic yellow calipers. You can tell the difference between standard or ceramic brakes on a Porsche by the fact that standard has red yokes and ceramic yellow. Choosing yellow means raising the price of your Porsche by the same amount as a smaller car costs. But in GT2 it is included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That the GT2 is built to be driven on more than ordinary roads is quite obvious. And anyone who doesn't should be caned short and sweet. Inside the car you will find a race cage in case the car should accidentally end up on the roof. You will also find a 5-point belt and a fire extinguisher. There is also a timer clock up on the dashboard and when you read the instructions for this it says quite funny, timer clocks for taking lap times on the track or on the way to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you sit in the GT2, there are two settings to make on the seat, forward or backward. But despite that, you sit as if in a vise in the incredibly comfortable racing seats. You can easily find a good driving position and on the track it's just a matter of moving forward a bit for a tighter driving position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got a whole afternoon on the Swista track together with Jocke Qvarnstr\u00f6m as an instructor. Big thanks to the guys there who let us drive. Even though I don't have that much race track experience, not a single car had a chance against me when I entered GT2. It has such incredible power and such good handling. By leaving the PSM assist system on but in sport mode, I was able to pass everyone on the track quite easily. Since then it should be added that I have taken a race license and a lot more time on the track. Well recommended. And that the 997 GT2 has a PSM system, we probably have Porsche to thank, the previous model of the GT2 had no assistance system at all and therefore got the brutal nickname "Widow-maker".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I might feel about a Porsche GT2 to try to find something to complain about is that you might wish for an RS version. There is too much comfort in the GT2 as standard. Of course, it's absolutely crazy that you can drive on the track faster than everyone else and then drive away as calmly as possible. But you would like a slimmed-down version, without a hub, without AC, without a lot of Alcantara everywhere. Then, frankly speaking!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
