Pagani Zonda F<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's hard to put into words the feeling I have when I'm on my way to Pagani Automobili just outside Modena, Italy on that sunny Thursday morning in June. Knowing that you will soon be able to push the start button in a car with a price tag of just over five and a half million Swedish kronor. And knowing that you will get to take this incredibly designed creation for a ride has meant that I could barely sleep a wink this night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I arrive at Pagani and am met by a guy who works as a technician and not the girl I had email contact with, what happens is a nightmare and a fairly common phenomenon when it comes to contact with Italian car companies, although more often in the past than now. Apparently there has been a misunderstanding and I will not be allowed to test drive the beautiful creation that was rolled out in the courtyard at the same time as I arrived. For a moment, my entire world view collapses and I have to excuse myself for a visit to the toilet without the intention of using the empty room for anything else and to take a number of deep breaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I go out again and after contacting the press girl I find out that a test drive cannot be arranged because the car is a customer car and under no circumstances can anything happen to it. And since the press girl is new and doesn't know that I visited Pagani before and test drove a Zonda S, her hands are tied behind her back, nothing other than riding with their test driver will not be possible. This is completely malicious, of course, but my world has still collapsed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When their test driver arrives and I tell him who I am and what I've done before and that I completed the Scuderia Hanseat course at the N\u00fcrburgring with a Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series (Test of the car and report on the course will be in CS Home in the spring) so the situation changes quite quickly. It's not long before I'm in the driver's seat with my thumb on the start button on the gear stick, wroooom, my world is shining again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With careful nodding, I steer the Zonda F out of Pagani's courtyard. You have fairly good vision ahead, but the end feels wider than a laggard gable. Once out on the road, I am first surprised by how easily maneuvered the Zonda F feels, light steering and very comfortable gearbox with a sufficiently hard clutch. Before sitting in the car, I had taken a good while to absorb every designed detail of this car. Perhaps the pedals are not the most functional with their round design, but without a doubt among the most beautiful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the way out towards the Autostradan, everyone walking stops to look at the beauty in front of me, you'd think they got used to the area around the factory, but when a Pagani Zonda F comes rolling by, it probably doesn't matter how many times you've seen it before, man still stopping to absorb the forms. And the fact that the car is in the clearest orange color naturally makes people look up an extra time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

On the approach to the autostrada is the first time I really get to rev up the gears and hear the incredibly well-singing Mercedes AMG V12n of 7.3 liters and 602 horses that Pagani uses. It is a bulletproof engine that can be serviced at most Mercedes service centers, which is of course convenient. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The higher the speed, the more the car presses against the road, a Pagani Zonda F can be driven incredibly fast, so trying to top the speed limit would need a completely different stretch of road than the one I'm currently driving at lunchtime in Italy. But 200 is passed after less than 10 seconds and in just 4.4 seconds I am stationary from 200 if I were to give everything on the brake. These are serious numbers to say the least.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a while on the Autostradan, the road leads up into the mountains and beautiful winding roads, and here too the Zonda F shows its potency. As easy as it is, it takes on the crookedest turns without a problem. Much because of its light weight of only 1230 kilos. This is thanks to the fact that Paganis are almost entirely constructed in carbon fiber. Owner and founder Horatsio Pagani worked before starting Pagani at Lamborghini and their carbon fiber department. The craftsmanship you get to witness in the Pagani factory is pure art without a doubt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a couple of hours of fantastic enjoyment behind the wheel, we are back at the factory. That's when that strange almost wistful feeling sets in, is it over yet? Maybe, to be able to afford to buy a Pagani Zonda F I would need a lottery win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
