Nissan GT-R<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

More comfortable and more powerful, we have enjoyed and experienced an autumnal Gotland in the new Nissan GT-R.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The car that completely rocked the supercar segment when it replaced the already potent Nissan Skyline GT-R in 2007. It was quickly nicknamed Godzilla as its wayward shapes didn't catch everyone off guard. Many have complained that there are too many TV games with all the technology and that Nissan has been too restrictive with how the car can be used if the guarantees are to apply. Regardless of what people think of its shapes, technology or Nissan's restrictions, the GT-R is among the fastest you can buy for under a million kroner. It can also compete with most supercars on the market, which in some cases cost twice as much, if not more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gotland during the summer months in all its glory, sun, swimming and always a fun party to dance your shirt off until sunrise. But a week in October offers an island in a completely different vintage because the tourists shine with their absence and the beautiful roads are practically empty around the entire island. That's why we took the new Nissan GT-R here to really experience these roads and beautiful places in peace and quiet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The V6 engine in the GT-R is twin-turbocharged and has a capacity of 3.8 litres. The power is now 570 horses, which is almost a hundred horses more than the original version that was presented. The sprint from zero to one hundred takes just 2.8 seconds, which is a tenth faster than the Lamborghini Aventador itself, a car that costs just over three million kroner. On the other hand, the Nissan GT-R cannot measure up to the Lamborghini's top speed, but is overtaken when the meter reaches 315 kilometers per hour. However, this is a figure for the last generation GT-R and Nissan has not wanted to print the top speed for the new one. However, there is no doubt that the car is fast, which we were able to experience on a single flying straight near Bro that is usually used for street racing. Here you have good visibility and can let the car stretch out properly without worrying about one or the other...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The journey starts from the southernmost tip of Gotland, the roads are wonderfully varied with curves and straights. The new GT-R is more snug and now has a comfort mode on the dampers. Together with the increased sound system from Bos\u00e9, long journeys become very comfortable. But that's not really what we're here to experience. With the dampers set to R and the gearbox in manual mode, every millimeter is squeezed out to the maximum in the curves. The Nissan GT-R is brutally fast and precise, nothing stands in the way of its progress thanks to a highly effective anti-skid system and four-wheel drive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A bit further north on the island is the Gotland Ring, one of Sweden's absolute best racing tracks. Inspired by the N\u00fcrburgring in Germany, the track offers challenging curves and straights. A day pass here costs SEK 1,585 and an annual pass SEK 6,500. The course is open to public driving almost every weekend all year round, weather permitting. The journey continues north and by ferry to F\u00e5r\u00f6. Here the roads are even more lonely and out along the coast the landscape offers scenes that are difficult to understand that they are in Sweden. At the far end of the northeast side, we finally reach F\u00e5r\u00f6 lighthouse. This will be the end of a high-speed and very adrenaline-filled journey. The Nissan GT-R really shows how potent it is and few things can compare to it. Nowadays also when it comes to the premium feeling thanks to more comfort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
