What is CarsCollection.com?
CarsCollection.com is an independent and passionate platform where I publish articles, reports and photography about both classic and modern cars. Here you will find factory visits, test drives and historical perspectives based on many years of experience as a photographer and motor journalist.
Who is behind CarsCollection.com?
The site is run by me, James Holm, photographer and journalist with long experience from skateboarding, snowboarding and especially the car world. The work builds on the legacy of my father Bengt Ason Holm who created the Cars Collection and Famous Car Factories book series.
Are the articles sponsored?
No, it is not. All texts, photos and impressions are my own. I sometimes borrow cars directly from manufacturers or press departments, but I always write from my own experiences and opinions.
Can I use images from the site?
All material is copyrighted. If you want to use images, you need to contact me via the contact form on the site. Please tell me what you want to use the image for and I will get back to you with price and licence information.
How often are new articles published?
I post regularly when I have completed test drives, factory visits or major photo shoots. Please follow my social media to get notifications when something new is posted.
What if I want to book you for a photo shoot?
Use the contact form on the site or write to me directly on Instagram. Tell me briefly what you need help with and I will get back to you with suggestions, price and availability.
Do you test all the cars you write about?
In principle, yes. I usually test the car for one or more days to give an honest and thorough assessment. Historical articles, on the other hand, can be based on past experience or research from documented factory visits.
Why are some technical specifications missing from the articles?
Some manufacturers do not publish all data before press runs. In such cases, I add the information as soon as it becomes official. I also update older articles when new or more accurate data is available.
Can I suggest cars, people or stories to write about?
Yes, please. I appreciate tips, especially about unique cars, collections or people with interesting car stories. Send me a message via the website or social media.
Is CarsCollection on social media?
Yes, you can. You can find me mainly on Instagram under @jamesholm.se and @carscollection.se There, I share behind the scenes material, rigging photos, factory visits and updates on new articles.
